Rhetoric and Reality. So it begins. In spite of all the rhetoric, the Senate Armed Services Committee, now chaired by Democratic Senator Carl Levin, unanimously voted for making Petraeus überhawken fuhrer commander in Iraq. Don't watch what they say, watch how they vote. Pelosi speak with forked tongue.

Shell Game. I have come to the conclusion that Rodham-Clinton and Obama are engaged in a conspiracy to corner and combine millions in campaign donations, effectively denying money to all other Democratic candidates, easily forming a Clinton-Obama ticket for '08. Just imagine the attractiveness of that ticket to the "average American" voter. A "slam-dunk", as Tenet would say. I hope I'm as wrong as he was.

Knowing the Enemy. I've been reading this book by Vali Nasr and I suggest that you read it, too.

I doubt whether anyone in The Doubleduh-Cheney Gang has. Remember the Lebanese civil war? There were so many factions of Islam and others trying kill each other even a score card couldn't keep track. So The Gang is sending over 21,000 more Americans to get control of a situation that will make Lebanon look like a skirmish in the Hatfield-McCoy feud. Cannon fodder, can you say that? Why does Bush hate America?

Iraq Plan May Hamper Domestic Defense

WASHINGTON -
President Bush's troop buildup in
Iraq and the demands of the four-year-old war are causing concern at the
Pentagon that the conflict could hamper the military's response to domestic crises.

The head of the National Guard said Wednesday his troops lack the necessary equipment and that will hurt their ability to respond to natural or manmade disasters at home.

"I am not as comfortable as some others seem to be in accepting the low readiness levels here at home," Lt. Gen. Steven Blum said. "It creates a problem. It will cost us time and time will translate into lives."

Adm. Timothy Keating, commander of U.S. Northern Command, also said there may be "specific equipment shortfalls that, in the longer term, could have an impact on our ability to respond." . . .

So the preznut creates more potential for blowback while eliminating our ability to defend against it.

The only good news is that, if you believe the Russians, Bush just gave the military authority to crush domestic anti-war actions, including the power to Gitmo all of us to some gulag in Montana. The military, however, is being decimated and won't be able to handle it. Go figure.

Gulp! I graduated from a Jesuit high school and went to a Jesuit college for two years. While in college I "lost the faith" and dropped out of college, later getting my BA and MEd from decidedly secular, fairly leftist institutions.

used today.

The Jesuit order, otherwise known as the Society of Jesus (S.J.), has been the military enforcement arm of the Catholic Church since it was first founded by Ignatius of Loyola of Spain in 1534 during the reign of Pope Paul III, ostensibly to combat Protestant heresy. And while many feel that the Jesuits are only a sub-order of the Roman Catholic Church and are merely seekers and disseminators of knowledge, they have a much darker history that many people do not know about.

And while much can be said of the Jesuit Order, and much has been written, the oath speaks not only for itself, but speaks much of the Roman Catholic Church that has used and still uses the Jesuits for it’s purposes while knowing full well the contents of the oath they bind themselves under. The Roman Catholic Church, while professing to holiness and claiming that there is no salvation outside of the Church, still harbors the Jesuit Order and commands them explicitly . . .

On an interesting note, we often see the letters INRI on crosses and crucifixes, and are told that it represents the Latin words “Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudeum” or “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”, the Latin words that Pilate had written on a placard and nailed above Jesus’ head at the crucifixion. However, as you will see below, the Jesuits use a far different set of words with the same letters. This invites the question, “Which is the real meaning of the ‘I.N.R.I.’ that we see displayed today?”

INDUCTION AND EXTREME OATH OF THE JESUITS

When a Jesuit novice is about to be inducted into the higher levels of the Order, he kneels on a red cross before the Superior of the Order. Before him are two flags, the familiar yellow and white flag of the papacy, and the black flag with a dagger and red cross above a skull and crossbones, the flag of the Jesuit Order. On the Jesuit flag is written the words, IUSTUM, NECAR, REGES, IMPIOS. (It is just to exterminate or annihilate impious or heretical kings, governments, or rulers.) The Superior of the Order hands the novice a small black crucifix which he presses to his heart, and the Superior then presents to the novice a dagger. The novice grasps the bare blade and presses the point to his heart. The Superior, still holding the hilt of the dagger then speaks to the novice.

My son, heretofore you have been taught to act the dissembler: among Roman Catholics to be a Roman Catholic, and to spy even among your own brethren; to believe no man, to trust no man. Among the Reformers, to be a Reformer; among the Huguenots, to be a Huguenot; among the Calvinists, to be a Calvinist; among the Protestants, generally to be a Protestant; and obtaining their confidence to seek even to preach from their pulpits and to denounce with all the vehemence in your nature our Holy Religion and the Pope; and to descend so low as to become a Jew among the Jews, that you might be enabled to gather together all information for your Order as a faithful soldier of the Pope.

You have been taught to insidiously plant the seeds of jealousy and hatred between communities, provinces and states that were at peace, and incite them to deeds of blood, involving them in war with each other, and to create revolutions and civil wars in countries that were independent and prosperous, cultivating the arts and sciences and enjoying the blessings of peace. To take sides with the combatants and to act secretly in concert with your brother Jesuit, who may be engaged on the other side, but openly opposed to that with which you might be connected; only that the Church might be the gainer in the end, in the conditions fixed in the treaties for peace and that the end justifies the means.

You have been taught your duty as a spy, to gather all statistics, facts and information in your power from every source; to ingratiate yourself into the confidence of the family circle of Protestants and heretics of every class and character, as well as that of the merchant, the banker, the lawyer, among the schools and universities, in parliaments and legislatures, and in the judiciaries councils of state, and to “be all things to all men,” for the Pope’s sake, whose servants we are unto death.

OK, well, actually just one comment: "Onward, Christian Soldiers."

Wear Asbestos (As Well As Your Tinfoil Hat, On Saturday). From the Wayne Madsen Report (slice):

January 25, 2007 -- Pentagon PSYOPs directed against Saturday DC anti-war marchers. First, the corporate media attempted to ignore the January 27 anti-war march on Washington. As the Internet and progressive talk radio spread the word about the march and groups around the nation began to mobilize their members to participate in it, the Bush administration -- now armed with all sorts of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) "non-lethal" toys, decided to stage a test of an anti-crowd microwave weapon, code named "Sheriff," in a demonstration for the media at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia.

On January 24, the military demonstrated its Active Denial System (ADS) millimeter wave directed energy beam in a test designed for the media, and hence, the public. Using enlisted airman, acting as "rioters," as "guinea pigs," a beam was directed at them from a parabolic antenna located 500 yards away atop a Humvee. The wave heated the skin of the "rioters" to 130 degrees, creating the feeling in the targets that they were being burned alive, scattering them in the process. The military pointed out that the beam can penetrate winter clothing (which will be worn by those participating in Saturday's march) and 1/64th of an inch under the skin. As with any electronic weapon, it is clear that the "juice" can be turned up on Sheriff to cause more than a nasty skin burn, including internal organ damage, blindness, and death.

The weapon was developed under a contract awarded by the Pentagon's non-lethal weapons program office at the Quantico, Virginia Marine Corps Base to Raytheon.

The public testing of such a weapon by the military just prior to what may be the largest anti-war march in Washington since the Vietnam War is a clear message by the Pentagon to marchers that the millimeter wave technology exists and is deployable. Psychologically, most people find the idea of being burned alive frightening and this Pentagon "show and tell" was an obvious ploy to scare away marchers, especially those planning to bring their families . . .

Man, these cats ain't foolin' round, know whut I'm sayin? So don't forgit yer sunscreen, uh, SPF 1,000, aah-ight?
